Batten Down Brown

Style: American Brown Alebeer_brown

ABV: 5.8% IBU:25

Description: This American Style Brown Ale uses six different malts to bring a complex, yet traditional Ale. Light toffee notes combine with the brown sugar to bring complex flavors that are desired in traditional Brown Ales. The body on this beer is plentiful even for a lower ABV of 5.8% to give it a great balance. This beer is made strictly to style and is what we believe a Brown Ale should be.

Food Pairings: Pork, Gouda Cheese, Pecan Pie

Reviews: “Medium brown color, white head that fades. No lacing. Nice toffee, nutty, bready aroma. Similar taste, but well balanced. Medium bodied, nice smooth mouthfeel. Overall a nice brown ale.” – jmdrpi (BeerAdvocate)

“Draft. Pours deep brown with a thin off white head. Sweet malty base, some brown sugar, and faint bitterness. Mild roasted and toasted bready notes as well. Solid.” – blipp (RateBeer)
